I'm off down to London (from Newcastle) on the train - need to get to Clapham which is in Zone 2. Its 7.95 single to Kings Cross on the East Coast website with a 16-25 railcard and £11.65 Newcastle - 'Zone U12* Londn'. Is that zone ticket valid all day or only for a single trip? Thanks, Steve.

I am pretty sure I would be right in saying that it will be a single trip - but I'm sure someone will come and post whether I'm correct or not

Yeah you can but I thought you meant youve already bought a tube ticket.

Oyster card only costs £3 deposit which you can get back after your trip if you hand your card back in, porbably only worth doing if you arent going back to London for a while.

Single trips then only cost £1.80 for a single journey in off peak times and £2.30 peak times
