travelling to london from west wales car or train?

hi all 4 of us are planning a trip to london in march..

on the train it would be £220 for the 4 of us

travelling by car would be cheaper but the driver doesnt want to drive around or into london... is there anywhere around the m4 side of london where you can leave the car and get a train the rest of the way? im interested to see if its cheaper this way

cheers

Brent Cross if using the M40 or Hammersmith if using the M4 spring to mind.

You would get cheaper parking (free at Brent Cross) and save the Congestion Charge.

I usually drive to Rayners Lane, park there and hit the TFL system.
You could National express it (its 16 quid from Bristol, i know that much)

It's a good job they are going in March then

we always park at hounslow west tube station and it free parking on weekends it's about 30 min tube ride to oxford street

if its adults and children perhaps get a family railcard? saves me a fortune when getting the train HTH

what station did you want to leave from in Wales and what are the dates of travel? ill take a look.
