    Trip to NYC in Jan..

    Hi guys,

    I'm looking to go to NYC for my 21st birthday in Jan. I'm hoping to go from 7th Jan to 13th Jan. I missed the American Airlines sale, so now I'm looking at big money for tickets. If anyone can recommend a cheap flights website I'd appreciate it. Ideally I'd like direct flights from Manchester to JFK, via Delta, but if not I'd happily transfer at Heathrow.

    Any suggestions on where to get some nice cheap flights would be appreciated.

    Also any suggestions for cheap accommodation would be appreciated also.

    Thanks guys!

    Nick

    You don't need a maths degree to work that out.

    try with them OP i booked in june to NYC flying with virgin for £340ish and got a room for 2 from them for £730 for a week.

    hostels are really cheap if you dont mind staying in one of them too.

    and take really warm clothing as its bitterly cold in January!

    January Weather:

    * Average High: 36°F (4°C)
    * Average Low: 26°F (-3°C)
    * January is typically the coolest month in New York City. Being in a city full of tall buildings can make the wind feel colder and stronger than normal, so be sure to dress for the weather.

    Thanks for the help guys.

    Booked 6 nights at The Paramount Hotel and return flights for £650 each. Much better than any deal I saw on Expedia!

    Thanks again.

    I went for my 40th around the same time last year and it is very cold so make sure you have hats, gloves and warm clothes.

    You might want to try this while you are there - it's a free service and we found it fantastic

    Thanks for that - will look into it

    I went exactly the same time last year, it was cold, but no colder than Manchester at that time. I'll be sure to pack my hat and gloves though!

    It was nice walking round Central Park in the snow!
