TSB raising interest back to 5% on £1500 netting £75 a year or £6.25 a month. IT should be sorted by then

8)TSB putting interest back to 5% from the second of May. However it will still only be on £1500 and not on the £2,000 originally.

When interest rates were cut they cut interest and the amount you could earn it on.

After the IT fiasco they are reinstating the 5% indefinitely! Depends on whether people want to stay though.

MSE says this: As part of its drive to placate angry customers, TSB has announced that from Wednesday 2 May its Classic Plus current account will pay 5% AER variable interest on up to £1,500, compared to 3% now. It says this interest boost will last for an indefinite period.

Foreign transactions fees are the most expensive but if you get a specialist credit card you can collect the £75 a year and then use the clarity card to withdraw cash or spend abroad.

I left TSB afther they cut interest and reduced the amount you could earn it on from £2k to £1500. Still though £75 a year is not bad and would cover foreign transaction fees. However use clarity for use abroad.

My mortgage is wit TSB and I still can't log in
