Its a white meat
If we're being picky, it's not red or white it's poultry which is a different category altogether! But white meat will do

Yep, and other little chicken-y type birdies.

the turkey leg is darker meat so tastier than the white breast meat. Darker meat is endurance muscle and lighter meat is muscle used in bursts or not much at all. Fish are like this too. When you next eat mackerel whole on the bone you will notice darker and lighter areas!
don't buy turkey mince as it is fatty as they mince up all the fatty cuts too so it is over 10% fat sometimes. Get turkey leg from Morrisons as a twin pack of two big ones weighing at least 1.8 kg is £4.50 and sometimes on offer. Far healthier and tastier than mince and no rubbish!
