I looked on teletext over the weekend, it was 2.34, you will do better out there but not by much

Try ]HERE.

I was out there about a month ago and I was getting 2.50tl to the £. If you can, I would wait until you get there.

Your best bet is to exchange a small amount beforehand, then find a local who will exchange your money for you in Turkey. As they will tend not to give you rip off rates as all the other currency exchange shops do.

id only take a small amount as the tended to prefer sterling when we went in april and im only taking about 300 lira in august as an example 4 handbags for a tenner or 25 lira seemed stirling first euros second and lira last also if theres a bank close by and you need lira you can normally exchange at a better rate than at the hotel were you going were off to belek on the 26th

tescos at the mo
Foreign Currency Turkish Lira New 10.00 = 2.372600 4.21

fiver delivery if under 500

whuch bank are you with, lloydsTSB are doing it for 2.38
