Turning Nectar points into cash

Found 31st Dec 2009
Does anyone know the most efficient method of turning Nectar points into cash? The best I've been able to come up with so far is to spend the points on Argos vouchers (500pts for a £2.50 voucher), and to spend loads of them on something which has the 7 day no-quibble refund policy on it, and to then take it back for a refund. Would this work? And is there a simpler method or one that pays out more effectively?

use them for ur shopping in sainsburys .... and save the cash
i think argos will know you paid via points. As above sainsburys give £2.50 for 500 points
yeah we used ours to get £80 off the xmas shopping. Couldn't find a better way to use them.
Ah, cool. I was semi-hoping I could redeem it all as hard cold cash and treat myself to an xbox, but I guess a few squids off my shopping is no bad thing. Cheers all, rep'd.
Why not save them to use on an Xbox in argos?
Can you just hand over your Nectar card at Argos to pay for something?

Wait for a good sale item and then use them, sainsburys, argos, estores. Estores add additional points.
Did you know you can get points via Thomsons directory? Now tha BT has free 0845 number calls, you can potentially get a of points - does anyone know any pitfalls with this?
I've got 22000 Nectar points. (Or at least it was a few years ago.)

Never seen ANYTHING worth using them on!
