Twin tuner Feeview box (not PVR)

Does such a thing exist any more? I've done the usual online searches but all I turn up is PVRs and I don't want to spend that much because I'm leaving the country in 2 years' time. (I saw the thread about a PVR for less than 40 from Microdirect but it sounds like it's unreliable).

I simply want to be able to watch one Freeview channel whilst recording another Freeview channel on my video, which means I need twin tuners, n'est pas?

Online or shop, either is fine.

I'm not sure they do such a thing...buy 2x cheapo £16 freeview boxes

You will need a PVR / hard drive to record

I don't understand. Surely some people use Freeview boxes with their VHS recorders? I know it's not as good as a PVR but it can be done?

Get a PVR and use with your video recorder, that's what I used to do. Once you get a good PVR, you will never want to go back!

A lot of people these days have a freeview tuner built in to the TV, then use a separate freeview box to feed the video recorder or HDD recorder. However with the twin tuner PVR boxes about, the Freeview box and VCR is becoming obsolete. This is noticed when large chains like Dixons and Currys stop selling VCR units and the accesories (tapes, etc) that go with them.
