UK Holidays - Can you recommend one for teenagers & toddlers?

    Hi everyone,
I'm looking to get away for a few days - done the butlins/haven/flamingo land hols for a few years now and looking for somewhere different this year.
It has to please everyone though - so a MUST have is a funfair (for the teenagers) and something to cater for the little ones such as a soft play area/beach etc.
I have been looking at Trecco Bay, and I believe there is a fair nearby - can anyone clarify this?
If you can recommend any good sites I'd really appreciate it x
    Thanks guys.

uhuh, I liked caravan's! I wouldn't go anywhere like the new forest, I'd say seaside instead! As there's arcades, beaches, general fun things to keep everyone amused!

have you thought of a keycamp hol or similar to france? i know its not UK but different? and it might not rain!!

i dont think there is anywhere else as good as flamingo land for fair/daytime activities as im in the same position
kids are 13,11,5,3 and 10 months
we used to go to flamingo land but were dissapointed with evening entertainment
so now we just go haven etc
if u find anywhere in the u.k with a fair etc could u let me know?

We enjoy flamingo land too but like you, were disappointed with the evening entertainment plus the fair shuts way too early! We did go to Prestatyn once and the kids loved it, the fair wasn't on the camp but was really close and not too expensive.

I would avoid Trecco bay tbh, Oakwood Park and Folly farm are much better … I would avoid Trecco bay tbh, Oakwood Park and Folly farm are much better for kids, more to do and see in the area as well, it is a far more beautiful part of Wales than Porthcawl. There is a new complex that has been built nearby Oakwood park (bluestone) but i haven't been since it's opening so can't really comment if it's any good? it does look fantastic on their website]http://www.oakwoodthemepark.co.uk/plan/wheretostay.aspIf that's not your style there are plenty of other options including many camp sites.

Thanks Carley, will have a good look at the site and thanks for the info

    Thanks everyone

i agree with the fair closing too early
we dont really drink so would of preffered to spend the eve at fair
we went for 3 years in oct time which s better alot quiter
also we hated the smoke filled "family" room and the "family" entertainment in my opinion seemed unsuitable for children especially some of the girls dancing about in suspenders etc
we are going to prestatyn 21st july, its only 30 mins from us but the baby doesnt like travelling
the rhyl fair has closed now!!

omg i live like 15 miles from porthcawl and is that where trecco bay is cos porthcawl a dump, dirty and horrbiel whereas yup we used to have a static down new quay ( west wales ) nearly anywhere west of carmarthen is beautiful also "the gower" close to swansea is great, where there might not always be alot todo at certain sites you are within 20/40 mins of wales 2nd city so plenty to do is weather miserable
