UK Passport Photo - Print @ Home?

Can anyone recommend a decent online service which will allow me to print some passport sized photos from home?

Obviously, knowing the regulations with regards to backgrounds, no smiling etc... but some of the sites I've been looking at (such as epassportphoto.com have quite a bit of negative feedback).

I have the required photo paper, and inks. I just don't want to keep forking out £5 a time for 4 images which I could easily do at home.

Many thanks.

Load the photo into a Word document, mess about to get the right size (you might need to print off to plain paper a couple of times), then when you've got it right, print to photo paper.

If you're up to it, you can change the settings of the photo when it's in Word to get it to the right size, although I found that I needed to tweak the size a bit more to get it to the correct size.

Used this site a couple of times now.

Just read the op properly! I've had no problems with the site, used it for 3 passports and two drivers licenses.

Template and instructions here

Why can't you just shoot and print the photo at home and save yourself the money? I have done this and it was accepted.

Use IrfanView to crop and make it the correct size.

I don't mind doing it wither online or offline. Sorry if it sounded one way - I don't mind getting my 'fingers dirty' so to speak. Just wanted to hear ideas before I begin. Need these for tomorrow and thought I'd save myself some cash for once.

had mine returned maybe over a year ago now stating home printed or produced photos are not acceptable.

That depends on what you're using them for. I mentioned passport photo's but I'm not necessarily using them for a passport In any case, providing they're done correctly - there shouldn't be a problem in any case.

I just did mine online by setting up the number of images needed in a 6" x 4" print in photoshop (ie cropping the original to suit etc) and picking up from Tesco..

Cheaper option @ approx 10p

they can be funny about inkjet prints - hence why I got them photo-printed.

Useful tool yes, but if we all start posting free software it's going to be much harder to find a REAL DEAL. Some of us don't have hours to spend sifting through good and bad deals.I'll expect CCleaner, Flash Player, Shockwave and Skype coming up next

Its a great deal if it releases you from the shackles of Amazon and allows you to shop around for your ebooks. But the great thing about this site is everyone's opinions count and I thank you for yours.
