UK Seaside Holiday/Internal Flights & Passports

Does anyone have any suggestions for somewhere to go on a proper family seaside holiday in the UK? We usually go to Cromer or Sheringham in Norfolk but fancy a change this year. Not up for anything too 'Skeggnessy' but the odd arcade and candyfloss would be nice.

Also, can you travel on an internal UK flight without a valid passport? the kids ones both expired in june.

Under 16's CAN travel on interns without photo ID.

I suggest Newquay or somewhere near there. Lots to do in Cornwall.

As you already go to Norfolk how about Hunstanton. West of Cromer near the Wash and Kings Lynn.

It is a lovely Victorian town, but does have a small fun fair, a few arcades, a sea life centre and so on.

Nice beach and there are a few things to do round there like Sandringham and Pensthorpe.

Or the other way is Great Yarmouth, which is a bit more brash.

I recently spent a week in Souhport, the beach there was really nice, it's a lot quiter n prettier than a lot of seaside towns. only 30 mins away from Liverpool and close to Manchester and blackpool.
