uk.ebid.net Are they reliable to purchase from?

I saw this website with some nice deals but was wondering if some of the deals look too good to be true! The sellers have no feedback but you can pay by Paypal, so I should be covered right?

Like this Samsung Omnia I900 from Canada:

I really would not buy from there. Especially if they have no feedback. I got cought out with a ipod touch where they sent me a fake one and wasn't able to claim anything back. You aren't covered through paypal they only really cover you for ebay puchases.

Oh because I thought Paypal protection exists outside eBay also. That's strange then that if the item is fake you can't get your money back. I really wanted that Omnia! :-(

They only cover if it doesn't arrive, bloody stupid but if they send you a empty box, as long as it's tracked, then paypal don't help at all. The only thing I would suggest if you do still want to try is that you pay with a credit card as then you should be able to do a chargeback if it turns out to be fake or something. But you can pretty much guarantee that they will send you some crap

Thanks!

I guess I fell victim to marketing from Paypal. Their protection is very limited it seems...

It's a shame I don't have a credit card, I just don't want to pay the interest of 6% or whatever it is the banks charge. Does anyone here know a deal where a credit card doesn't charge any interest? Then maybe I can buy online with its good protection features. Thx again.

There is apparently the possiblility of debit card chargeback too. It seems very hit and miss though and I would try and talk to your bank before going and buying anything, although it seems that most bank employees don't even know it exists! It can be done though!
