UNABLE TO STREAM MEDIA TO PS3/POPCORN HOUR USING NEW DELL VOSTRO 430 ON WINDOWS 7, HELP!!

Hey guys, I recently purchased this - hotukdeals.com/ite…-co

And im at the end of my tether with it! I use a PS3 and Popcorn Hour A-110 to stream movies to these devices from said PC. I have no problems 'seeing' the shared folders etc but everytime I stream a movie etc, the movie will start, and then become stutterey, and then just stop/freeze!

Now this NEVER happened on XP on my 6 year old rubbish pc. So is this a known issue? I know theres nothing wrong with my network. Is there any features I have to enable/disable in windows 7 to cure this problem??

Another thing to add is that Ive tried using 'my ihome' streamer for the popcorn hour, and I get the same results. Ive also tried PS3 media server and tversity- still the same results!

Its a new PC so surely I wont have to replace anything? I can connect to internet fine and play movies etc fine on pc, so surely it cant be a network issue?

I'm no expert on the subject but are you streaming high quality videos over wireless? If so then that could be it. I tried streaming a 720p file over wireless (54Mbps -- wireless-G) and it was unwatchable due to the constant stuttering.

if you're using Ethernet then you'll be ok. 85Mbps powerplugs might not be enough either..

Can you not dual boot the pc with XP and stream using the XP partition?

It wont stream ANYTHING mate, not even a 350mb file! It did this with ease on my old PC...so wondering what the hell it could be? It starts the file, then stutters, freezes and dies!
