just say you made an error calculating your finances, most banks will waver this fee if they can see it was an error on your part and you are trying to do something about it, say you want to sort out an overdraft so is doesnt happen again, etc,etc

dont go in with an attitude, just explain your circumstances and grovel basically - lol

have u done it b4? they may let u of its its the first time u gone over

why is everyone going overdrawn lately and sharing it on here?

If it's your first time they may show leniency and refund half, or all of the charges. If they refuse you'll have to take it as a hard lesson learnt I'm afraid.

    Good luck.

it must be that its confusing understanding what a deal is, compared with not spending the money on a deal based on what finances you have, no deal?

go into the bank if you can, face to face is better than phone, ask to speak to manager

    Sassie how many this month?

    Supermod

Go in and speak to a manager. Do not be confrontational. Remain calm and be diplomatic.

It might be worth setting up an overdraft whilst you are in the bank as interest will be a lot less than charges.

there is this one and the one i posted earlier n this thread

I used to work for Lloyds at Cannons Marsh (A long time ago), if it's a first offence, explain the situation and they might eother let you off or condense it down to the one off charge.

They'll be more likely to let it go if buy into one of their 'premium' accounts with a *ahem* free overdraft.

    +1

The bottom line is how good your credit rating is and whether the bank want to retain your business. You can threaten to move your current account elsewhere. Have a look on Quidco and see whether anyone is offering enough of an incentive to make it worthwhile. Then be prepared to say that you want to close your account IF the polite request to waive the charges doesn't work.

Unfortunately, LloydsTSB are not renowned for their high level of customer service.

Yep... And i'm not certain on the cancellations rights. Last time I advised someone to do that and cancel it the Terms & Conditions police were onto me in seconds...

Looking for a switch to Halifax reward a/c:whistling:

I don't think you will get any refund. It happened to me last year with LLOYDS of course and they didn't do anything . I even wrote a complaint to them and all they said was if I want I can file complaint with ombudsman.........who has got time for all this.....If you are lucky let us know. All the best.
