Uncomfortable mattress from Argos?

Just wondering if anybody has bought a mattress from Argos in the last year and found it very uncomfortable?

Came with bunkbeds...but I paid extra for the firmer ones...they were TERRIBLE!. I complained and got them exchanged but whilst browsing on MSE I saw someone else complaining of the same thing.

cant you call them and tell them? in my experience argos have been good when i have had a problem

Cheap ones are C**P we put one on our holiday let. I can't believe we did it, the springs are coming through after only a few weeks rental.
Rang ARGOS who are crediting us and delivering a better quality (silentnight)

Didn't think £70 was that cheap!

£70 for a matress is DIRT CHEAP a double good quality one is about £300-£400.

So expect to pay £150 ish for a good single one.

You spend about 1/3rd of your life asleep so enjoy it and don't wake with back pains ;-)

£70 for a single mattress is not dirt cheap is it?

Bought a bed from homebase/Argos for my daughter cost £329 but the mattress is all lumpy its rubbish im going to bin it soon. And £70 for a single mattress is not dirt cheap but is not really much for a good mattress but for £70 you can get a better mattress online.

Its very much the bottom end of mattress pricing. Remember you spend at least a third of your time on it...

I got the cheapest possible mattress i could find a few years back, cos i was staying in a partially furnished house for 3 months. Got a £50 jobbie from Argos and it was utter rubbish. Could feel the springs through it making it really uncomfortable.

But like I said, only needed it for 3 months so had to be cheap. If you are getting a mattress for more permanent use, spend a bit more on it and get a comfy one!

I bought a double bed from Argos when we just moved into this house from my parents place. I had almost everything to buy for this house when we moved in apart from sofas,so I went cheap at the time. I spent about £125 which inclucded the wooden bed frame and mattress. The mattress was really poor and we replaced it some 3 yrs later.I then bought a decent one from Debenhams spent more on the mattress than I paid for the Argos one complete, and I got a metal bedstead this time too. Its great,I think where mattresses are concerned,it always better to spend more if you can on something decent. We will have the one we using now for many more yrs to come.

Did you find a pea under it?

i pais £ 200 for a mattress from argos a couple of years ago and it was ****, I found a cheap solution in the end and put a quilt underneath the sheet, the difference it made was unbelievable. You think they could made it with an extra 1/2 topping, would have saved me some sleepness nights
