Yes - add it in the same way you would any other email address.

Without saying which Uni it is no-one can help you any more though...

I wanted to do the same.
Ask your uni tech team about what you want to do and they should be able to provide you with all the settings.

You're at Uni, you're supposed to be smart - figure it out!

Seriously though, pretty sure you can find out your Uni's email settings on their website?

if pop doesn't work try smtp :?

I found the easiest way was to go to a PC and then open whatever mail client was configured, look in the options and then steal the settings.

:w00t: i am clever kinda!! Just not with configuring email settings haha

how do you tell if its pop or smtp?

My uni email incoming server is IMAP. Also the email address is slightly different than the one that is issued to us.
I don't think you'll be able to just figure it out, it's configured in a different way than normal mail servers.

As someone else said, just go into your uni email account and check the settings that way - then copy it into your phone.

our uni used hotmail and there was an auto forward rule i used so they went to my home email address

POP is for incoming mail, SMTP is for outgoing - you can't guess the settings, if you can't find the settings on their site then you'll need to ask someone there as you'll need to know the external IP address for the system as well.
