    Unlimited tethering data plan.

    My son is looking for a sim deal with unlimited 4g and tethering to allow him to tether to his computer. Anybody any ideas of a good deal.
    Thanks.

    Cheers will check them out.

    There is no such thing as unlimited tethering. It simply doesn't exist.

    There are unlimited data plans around, primarily from Three, but have a restricted tethering allowance of up to 30GB.

    Your best option by far would be to get a one month rolling SIM from Three with All You Can Eat phone data, 30GB of tethering, 200 minutes and unlimited texts. It can only be used in a phone, however. If you run out of the tetherable data you can buy add-ons which for example are £8 for 6GB.

    Thanks for your valuable advice, wasn't aware it didn't exist. Will also have a look here. Thanks again.

    Alternatively to 3, Talkmobile is another viable option as they don't have an additional charge to use tethering. I was surprised that the service was as good with them as it has been and the tethering has been a nice bonus for me as I wasn't looking for it but it's a nice to have feature that I've used a couple of times in a fix.

    Can you not use a dongle with the pc? Will that then be classed as tethering?

    He has internet connection through our broadband, fibre not available around here so wants 4g for faster speeds. Thanks anyway.

    what does he want the faster speeds for? If for gaming it likely wont be any better because of high pings. For downloading/streaming it will be fine but as said before it won't be cheap

    I meant a mobile dongle which has a sim inside, i remember reading something about them either not being seen as tethering or a work around so they don't.

    Ah I see what you mean, although he wouldn't want to keep swapping between dongle and phone. Thanks.

    Yeah he does do gaming but not sure if his main reasoning is downloads. Will link him to this thread so he can see.
    Thanks for your reply.

    EE just killed wot I wuda recommend by doubling price ee.co.uk/hel…ase =-{

    i.e the 6 month bundl for £20

    it is probably too late now, but maybe someone will find it useful.
    BT mobile Sim only plans are quite good and if you've got broadband with them you get £5 off your plan. all plans now include tethering.
