I suppose if you use the royal mail website and when you reach the limit just clear the cookies and restart, never tried it though

what do you want to do? match a postcode to an address or find a postcode for a road?

]Streetmap will give you a map and a street name if it has one..

google maps :?

google maps :?

this is by far the best. i use it for work all the time, customer phones up, you ask for postcode then you confirm their road name back to them, it looks like to them youve got some really expensive software!

Try old-maps.co.uk/ go to maps and type in what part of the address you have. I use it all the time to find postcodes.

Use Google Earth and you can tell them their back lawn needs cutting as well ! ;-)

Don't think a comprehensive fully free service exists, simply because Royal Mail own all the rights to postcodes, daft though that may sound.

Try Hopewiser... been using it for years... by far one of the best and quickest. No need to register

I do think there is a daily limit but not sure...
Also try the Parcel2go website, you will have to register and start a 'dummy' order.

Nice site, though there is a limit, as always, unfortunately:

In the interests of our other users, it is necessary to limit the number of searches made in a given period. If you would like a more complete service than this demo can provide, ATLAS and other address management software is available from Hopewiser, please select Contact Us for a quote.

any more out there?

If you want it for your site (e.g. store finder) then you best of using google maps. All the post code details comes from RM and they pass it onto the 3rd parties such as QAS - they will charge you per request.

Also google maps have their API which you can use on your site ....

Royal mail have one 15/day
