update: Eye injury - flashes of white light

    Banned
Off to the JR with a split open eye - photos added

Wave if you see me because i won't see you unless you're stood to my left. Discuss.

update: I'm getting flashes of white light in it....should I be concerned? They are like appearing to the right then dropping off to the bottom of my eye.

if you park at the JR, before leaving the JR. check to see if the parking barrier is up. very often it is, so before putting your ticket in the machine, just poke your head outside the door to see if the barrier is up. could save you a bit of ££

depends which car park you park at. think this is at car park 3.

good luck gettig yor eye sorted!

Hardcore to the bone, got those new blade boots to the face, didn't realise they could rip your face open so bad.

4 hour damn wait then the doc got a plastic surgeon to come see me I was begging for no stitches. They agreed it was too dangerous so just steri stripped it together, damn thing is it's on an old scar from the last time I split it open. Said I wasn't too worried....I'm no model.

The doc said I'm going to look pretty damn hard tomorrow 8-)

She pointed out some fat hippo in the hospital who bullied her in primary school, I said "look who's fat now" and poked her in the ribs. Didn't take it too well ;-)

One of my cats once cut my eyelid from corner to corner - wasn't quite flapping around but not far off - the docs/nurses were almost queuing up to have a look at it - in the end they "glued" it back together - but boyoboy did I have a shiner for about 5 days afterwards - and couldn't close the damn thing - was sleeping with one eye open for about a week. Hope you don't suffer the same sleep deprivation lomuruk; I still stay up till 4am

    One word......ouch

"The first proposals to build a hospital for Oxford were made in 1758 at a meeting of the Radcliffe Trustees, who administered the estate of Dr John Radcliffe (1650-1714), physician to Queen Anne. The sum of £4000 was released for the new hospital, which was constructed on land given by Thomas Rowney, MP for Oxford 1722-1759."

On 27 January 1941, the first dose of penicillin was given intravenously to man at the Radcliffe Infirmary, and on 1 July that year the first accident service in Great Britain began.

Oh - just seen the photo of your war wound - looks remarkably like mine did after I was savaged by the cat

Regarding your flashes I wouldn't worry - it's probably just your eye adjusting - but if you are worried ask your doctor to make an apointment for you to see an eye specialist

    How's the shiner BTW?
