Just as a quick sum up I reckon this should be about as powerful as the xbox one x:

    CPU (£107.98):
    amazon.co.uk/AMD…320

    Motherboard (£56.64):
    amazon.co.uk/d/M…ard

RAM (3 x £27.82; technically the 12gb of ram on the xbox is shared with the gpu so you could go with just two sticks and save £30):
    amazon.co.uk/Cor…h=1

    GPU (£204.99):
    amazon.co.uk/SAP…580

    TOTAL: £452.08.

It's looking like the xbox one x is a pretty good deal seeing as it comes with the case, psu and controller too
Just my guess as how good it'll be obviously, you'll have to wait for benchmarks to come out for the final answer

how would you recon one of those dell t20 xeon when they do the deals and a 1070 and new psu would fair?

also, you do the bing rewards for the £3 credits (cheapest) and keep an eye out for the deals on xbox credit you'll probably be able to pick up the xbone x for less than £400 since you can use that credit on the microsoft store

It may be shared with the GPU but it's unified.

They are selling them at a loss so you won't

thanks the 580 only seems manage 30fps, compared xbonex claimed 60fps unless xbox using checker boarding to get 4k

I'm sure advice is given in good faith but PLEASE do NOT buy an FX 8350 - both the processor and chipset are ancient and suck power/generate lots of heat!!! For gaming a modern i3 would smack an FX 8350 around in 90% of cases, never mind a cheap i5 from a few generations ago. The cheapest Ryzen would be a way better buy.

EDIT: eBay is probably the best way to build a powerful gaming PC with older but still relevant parts on the cheap, if you know what you're doing.

The RX 470/580 based GPUs in the PS4 Pro/Xbox 1 X will almost certainly perform 'better' than their PC equivalents, since developers can optimise console releases for specific hardware. Best to wait until Vega or look at a GTX 1070 to get similar performance, I reckon, but obv that pushes up price... as Monkey1999 said, consoles are sold at a loss so similar perf. for similar money will be tricky.

The FX 8320e is a better buy, 95W and overclocks like MAD
