Upgrading the "old" iPhone to 2.0 - still possible to jailbreak/unlock it?

iTunes is nagging me to update to 2.0: what are the benefits, and will it still be unlockable? I used zipphone last time with no problems, but it hasnt got an upgrade for 2.0 yet!

Ta x

There are only minor changes in v 2.0 on iphone,so stay there you are - no point to upgrade at all. And this version is not properly cracked yet.

Unlock - No
Jailbreak - Yes

Not true. Mine was running 1.1.3 ootb and I unlocked & jailbroke it using ziphone last year.

A couple of weeks ago I decided to upgrade to 2.0 and did it through winpwn. Mine is now unlocked and jailbroken again. Works great! I have noticed that calls now take less time to connect which is good. Plus the App store program is really useful as the Installer app is yet to be released and 3rd party software is limited. The top rated 3rd party games/software are now available for a fee from the App Store.

you can get super monkey ball so it's well worth it :-D
