Thanks Damnone.

The comparison sites should give us an overall cost throughout the contract rather than first month cost. Otherwise its misleading.
One of the best contracts I received is free for the first month but 29.99. Still appears on the top as the best offer.

without a landline and paying BT the installation and yearly fee i think your only bet is virgin isnt it? you can get pretty decent packages though such as £19 a month, unltd 10mb broadband, free weekend calls and tv box which i believe has some on demand features though that might only be on the more expensive packages... give them a ring and see if you can sort sumthing out

based upon where you live the quality of internet will vary, i had a great year in jesmond newcastle and a terrible half a year when i moved to sandyford... maybe check with a few neighbours and see if there with virgin and have any issues

Thanks Jeoprosho. Virgin would have been my choice too, but the tenant who used to live at this address before me had some issues with Virgin, so they are not providing me the service at this address. Strange.

hmm i would have thought if there had been a clear change in tennancy they wold have been fine to resume service, they must have not been getting paid or sumthing, are there actually any none bt line rental internet services apart from virgin???
