is there not a demo button as my oh dell had a media demo button and he had two buttons one for putting it in to demo media mode and one for switching it on properly

maybe the cord conecting to the screen is loose or not plugged in properly?

I have checked everythin the cord plugged it in again but nothing

Are you holding the button in or giving it a quick push, some PCs turn on and straight off again if you hold the button in

    is this a laptop?

if not, you need to connect more than just the power cable.

maybe take a pic of the back of your pc and post it here

The XPS one is an all in one desktop similar to the Imac.

danib - does the fan noise drop and any beeps occur? Often when powering up a PC the fan will immediately spin up to full as the machine carries out a self test and then spin right back down again as the PC starts to boot. However if the fan stays spinning at a high speed it often indicates the machine is hanging someone during its test (due to a hardware fault) and not actually booting which would explain the lack of display.
