As you have to pay for this now to get into the United States does anyone know if you have to pay the $14 in dollars or can you do it in local currency? (£)

Halifax happily charge £1.50 for a dollar conversion so would like to avoid this.

Does anyone know if I can use a fairfx card preloaded with dollars?

You have to pay in dollars but Halifax clarity card has no fee for doing it

I only have a debit card... crap!

Is the form straightforward?

Do you think I can use a prepaid card or do you think I should just suck it up and pay the charge?

do it online its very easy.

Just going to do it and it's asking for flight details etc, I know them but not offhand, if I fill it in will I have to notify them later?

isnt majority of it optional ie where you're staying etc?

Yeah I thought this.

But they're pretty picky arent they?

You just need all your own details and a passport number, I think. I didn't put where I was staying on my form, because I hadn't booked it yet...
