USB Cable: Doubled Ended! (No Jokes Please)

My mate was told you can recorded from your SKY + box to PC but you need a double ended standard USB lead

Does anyone know if this is true, or where to buy one from?

get an adapter set, kenables on ebay or similar can come in handy but doubt sky+ on pc without serious messing

use sky anytime on your pc ..... watch any sky program on your pc as long as you have a subscription

As far as I know this isn't possible, and if it is, it won't be easy. Could you not use a cheapish DVD recorder and connect it up to the sky output and record?

Ive asked me mate and he can do that, if that comes to it, but wanted to down the USB route

I don't think it's possible to buy double-ended USB cables except for in specialist cases, because if you connect one USB host to another, you're likely to blow something up. USB ports supply a 5v 0.5A line, so you'd be supplying power to the Sky box at the same time as the Sky box was supplying power to the PC. I'm not sure how this would play out, but I doubt the USB ports would be especially happy about the whole thing.

because THAT one aint. I said I need a Doubled Ended USB lead with the same connections :?

While double ended USB leads do exist, you won't be able to get your programs over USB with your Sky box - the only option is to take the hard drive out as has been mentioned alreayd.
