Using a 3 sim in iPhone 3g

Hey People

I have a 3 sim (contract) thought I would use it in my iPhone 3g. Is there any risk to this etc? Also I have looked into the YellowSn0w application which looks good but the thing is I still have 2.1 fw on the phone. I don't want to install YellowSn0w as it's still in beta version.

I have heard about the RebelSim is that any good and are there any restrictions to any services on this?

Dunno. My tip would be "Dont eat yellow snow!"

brb.. looking up yellowsnow and rebelsim!
lol...Yup hence I haven't installed it yet on my iPhone....Don't want to do that! Hopefully someone who has or uses a 3 sim in the iPhone can let me know

Thanks!
yes mate it works i am using one now (sort of) just dont update anything thru itunes
just so i can understand.....

im in the market for an iphone, i can unlock it but i can still face problems using it?
Thanks mate for the advice....I'm going ti buy a rebel sim for the iPhone to use my 3 sim. Also I want to ask I don't want the iPhone to use my 3 connection when I go online...as sometimes I have heard it automatically uses the 3 connection so you get high data charges....is it possible to disable that.

Also anyone know where to get the rebelsim for the best price? Would want it asap to be honest!

Cheers
Upgrade to 2.2, jailbreak, install Yellowsnow, insert 3 sim, job done.

I did with no issues.

Just make sure you dont accisdently upgrade to 2.2.1 as yellowsnow doesn't work with that
Hi mate

But the thing is if I need to send it in to Apple for repair etc...What do I do then? If its JailBroken does this invalidate warranty? Just that I understand I can uninstall YellowSn0w but in regards to Jailbreaking it?

Just plug it into iTunes, click restore, then it goes back to just how it was when it came from the factory before you jailbroke it
