Found 26th May 2010
My other half has one off these that was used once and put back in the box. I dont really want to sell on this site as i would feel bad if it broke after a short period. If i trade in at least the buyer would be able to return to store.

Any ideas on the difference in value eg trade compared to private sale?

Thanks in advance.

Sweet jesus they are onto a good deal there then! Theres a few second hand shops in the town. I may try to hawk it in there! Dont want to sell it private in case it breaks down. I think she used it once. What a waste of money that was!

Just had a quick look on CEX, they buy for £30, maybe Cash Generator or something like that would be better? Either way it looks like you are gonna get shafted....

sell it on here if it works. I would suggest a £60 start price incl. P&P

FYI: The Limited Edition Pink PSP-1003 model was available in the UK on 26 October 2006 at an original Recommended Retail Price of £169.99 if that helps you determine a price for a pre-owned model.

Argos had dropped the price to ]£82.49 by 20 September 2007.

The original product had a 32MB memory stick, a Universal Media Disc containing media (video, concert footage, interviews, & the music track "Crash & Burn") by the artist "P!nk", a white travel pouch, wrist strap, & headphones with remote control, all sold in a bespoke box:

The official web site for the product is still active:
[ games.yourpsp.com/Pin…_GB ]

[EDIT]: Warning - opening this site plays audio; take care if opening during office hours with your audio device(s) enabled [/EDIT]

The reason GAME offer, what you consider to be, such a low trade-in price is because the second iteration (third series) of the PSP console (the PSP-3000 series) is available new at the same retailer for under £100.

Used examples of the Pink PSP are currently available from ]Amazon Marketplace sellers starting at £70.

Then you've really only got a coloured PSP that is not favourable to most of the males interested in buying one for themselves, & probably a fair proportion of females as well.

The (primary) attraction of the Limited Edition bundle was that Universal Media Disc.

You will have to be prepared to accept relatively lower offers accordingly.

Doesn't advertising in the newspaper make the issue about somebody finding it faulty very soon after purchasing a greater concern? If sending to a buyer on eBay then you need not divulge your address. I suspect a local private buyer will want to collect from your property. A buyer in a World Wide Wait classifieds forum would probably also wish to gain your details.

You will also have to provide your name & address to GAME(station), CEx, HMV, or wherever you trade-in the item, but I doubt they would seek a refund if the item proved faulty within a few weeks.

Either way, good luck (with your kids' ability to find stuff).

Good point but about the private sale angle. I wouldnt like the thought of someone paying £50 for something that develops a fault. At leat with Game they would be able to return to store.
