VAT Back on bestbuy including IPAD - 16gb wifi for £ 357.47 --The 14.89% cashback offer runs for a further 7 days. **topcashback offer** (retrospective rebate for TCB members)

I missed out on the elusive Tkmax ipad deal, and was looking for a bargain and found this one on bestbuy. Orderd one for myself 32gb 3g. with a whopping £90 off the retail price.

There's a lot of argument about cashback deals as not 100% but this one is actually a vat free deal with topcashback and it works. I never had problems with tracking,

you can always check the readiness of your pc/browser on topcashback.co.uk.

here is the prices - the total discount is 14.89% on retail prices which works out bet 60 to 100 depending upon the model you choose...

the cheapsest is the 16gb wifi which comes out at £357.47

    16gb wifi - £429 - 62.53 = 357.47

    32gv wifi - £499 - 74.30 = 424.70

    64gb wifi - 599 - 89.19 = 509.81

    16gb 3g - 529 - 78.76 = 450.24

    32gb 3g - 599 - 89.19 = 509.81

    64gb 3g - 699 - 104.08 = 594.92

here's my confirmation for VAT back

a bit misleading on the title.

I don't think its misleading anyway...I just hightlighted one of the hottest electronic gagget for the season, but you can get VAT back on pretty much everything in bestbuy...

its not a specific deal on the ipad, as your title suggests, hence misleading.

cashback sites, although good and work most of the time, can on occassion not pay up, hence the deal should just be that VAT off via topcashback if you buy from bestbuy, not only on the ipad.

Hey its good to point it out either way ...thanks

    Wait for the IPAD2 folks....

Some folks never gets it, nobody has said that iPad is gonna replace laptops or crapnetbooks. This is an in-between device, for people who wants a better way of browsing the web n doing things on the Internet without any hassle. If you don't get forget it mate., flash is long on on it's final days, it's the buggiest software weber made.

To say flash is on its last legs is very questionable and besides which html 5 support for the iPad is pretty poor anyway which is the one thing that will eventually replace it. I'd wait for the new blackberry tablet - youtube.com/wat…2uo

haven't they been giving vat back via quidco for a while, although with some exclusions or could you get double vat back?

If it's just casback, then this isn't a deal, can't put prices with cashback in the title!
Quidco has been offering the same thing for a few weeks now too

This... I can't see anything on the TCB or Quidco sites indicating this is VAT back + Quidco. 14.89% has been running for weeks now since their first weekend at 15%.

    £357.47? Not 429 x 0.8511=365.12?

Seems a good deal...qiny, your calc is correct- on the site they tell you price/1.175 = £365.1 so not sure where the 357 comes from.

Strange though as both Quidco and TCB tracking 14.89% discount but the link on the website says must order by midnight 13th (i.e last night!).

Are Best Buy reputable? never used them before.

Best Buy are the largest electronics retailer in the world with sales in the region of $50 billion P/A.

I waited in all day for a Best buy order as i had booked it for that day and it still hasn't even been dispatched as their having hugh problems with delivery company who can't cope because of the snow even though the south east roads have been driveable for 2 weeks now ! RUBBISH !

Not really a deal on the IPAD just the application of a generalised offer on a specific product - awaiting the flood of similar posts now listing every item that Best Buy sell....

It has a touch capacitive keyboard.
It does multitask (Google iOS 4.2, simple).
I guess the screen on your shitebook must be bomb-proof.

Ignore the moronic comments and buy one if you can afford it - they're a pleasure to use.

I had the same problem, was expecting the delivery today, but its not bestbuy but DHL who's messed up, bestbuy dispatched the product on time but its held up in Dhl depot, due to back log.

I know its not specific to ipad, but there's no other place where you can get such a discount on ipad and where the itme is available to purchase, not like the tkmax deal where each store was holding 5 or less ipdads which run out of stock within minutes.

So if anyone who's interested in ipad this is the place to get it

I've orderd 32gb 3g version - and got myslef a £90 disocunt off the retail price, where else you can get this, if you know let me know then start slating....

this deal is for the ipad, not for an android tablet. unless u got confused thinking that the ipad can do those things easily

STAY AWAY from BestBuy if you want your item before XMAS!
They are having massive problems with their courier service (DHL) and cannot guarantee delivery at the moment. I booked a day off work to receice my TV which never came (not impressed).

In fairness to them they did dipatch on time.

ok, Just called them as this thread (and the linked page) stated you had to order by midnight last night but Quidco and TCB still offering cashback so wanted to check.

Anyhoos... they have NO 16gb OR 32GB in stock and have NO indication from Apple when they will get them back in. The agent on the phone cited this as the reason they have "removed" the offer from their website and basically advised to be wary of any cashback link on this offer that is still showing as active. Thats enough for me to stay away - if I want to pay full price i'll go to COMET!

If I've worked this out correctly, I should be able to get this for around £420?

LOLOL!! My fanboy alarm just blew itself up after coming across that post. Forget using the right tool for the job, the ipad does it all. Apparently.

Check the T&C for VAT Back it says before 13 Midnight

Terms and Conditions Cashback available only on products purchased via TopCashBack.co.uk and BestBuy.co.uk before midnight 13th December whilst stocks last. Full price is payable online and TopCashBack.co.uk will refund 14.89% of the retail price you have paid which is equivalent to the VAT by Cashback. Please note the price that you have paid includes VAT at the standard 17.5% rate; this is added to the 'net' or 'ex-VAT' price of your order to give the retail price you paid. Of the overall retail price, VAT constitutes 14.89% not 17.5%. For full details on how this cashback site works see TopCashBack.co.uk's Terms and Conditions.

should be expired - this aint really a deal as website states HAVE TO GO THRU TOPCASHBACK to get your VAT back!

    ihotuk

    Not really, this is how much you get 599 - ((599 * 14.89) / 100) = 509.80

    I thought £600 - 17.5% = £495
    £495 + 14.89% cashback = £421.29

Great deal for a fantastic bit of kit - the iPad 'one', just a shame this site is getting ruined by all the kids and **** that seem to post negative comments all the time on good deals - if it doesn't interest you then stay out of the thread!

    16gb wifi - £429 - 62.53 = 357.47

    Erm, calculator broken? (_;) 14.89% of £429 isn't £62.53 and £429 - 62.53 doesn't equal 357.47 either!

    Should be:

    16gb wifi - £429 - £63.87 = £365.13

    I thought £600 - 17.5% = £495£495 + 14.89% cashback = £421.29

    Your maths are wrong...

    £100 + 17.5% = £117.50

    117.50 - 17.5% isn't £100

It would still be £600 but you would pay less for it

The trolls must be correct. This is a garbage piece of kit that has hardly sold and has received awful reviews everywhere. Avoid like the plague.

Or, chalk their comments down to jealousy and ignorance and buy one.
