cheers!! it was originally Italy, then local church, now we have the aint got time lets just do it all in one attitude!

I got married in Vegas and can recommend!

Got married 7 years ago in the Candle light chapel which has been knocked down to make way for another hotel :-(

You'll have to go down town to the county court to get your license which is about $50. You tip to minister $50-$200 and the limo driver around $50.

The cake you can have however you like and you get tonnes of photos.

Just remember any video you get will be NTSC not PAL so wont work back in UK. The original photos will be 57mm not a normal 35mm.

Other than that you will love it (and I mean love it); Just do it!

Our second choice was the little white chapel (where billy piper and chris evans got married, and where britney spears got married)

Hope that helps, PS Congratz

Nothing at all. Only in places like Mexico and Brazil.

Just make sure you get an offical copy of the certificate not just the show one; you'll need to show the banks etc it

We thought the same, but let me reassure you no registering is needed!

It's a good idea to get 2 copies of the official register entry as passport offices/ banks like an original not a photocopy, and just in case it gets lost you have another one without the hassle of ordering another from the States.
Also don't forget to tell the airline you fly with you are flying out to get married/ are just married, we got a bottle of champagne, and seat upgrades

Just mention it to the check in desk, then to the cabin crew, we flew BA, but friends flew Virgin last year when they married in Reno and they did the same, book flights in her maiden name, cos she wont be able to change passport until you get back.

Completely agree. We made that mistake and had to wait ages for another to come (and had to pay 5 times the amount of money for it!) During this time, we could only change my wifes name one company at a time as they always needed the original.

And yes you get a bottle of chapaigne on your flight! PS we went with Virgin Atlantic
