Probably buying a used car from a private seller tomorrow. Want to double check everythings in order before I hand over the cash! Which is the best and most reliable site to do this? Hear Experian and RAC are quite good but bit more expensive??

edit: sorry, might've put this in wrong section

RAC use HPI.

MyCarCheck are rubbish and dont hold updated data.

Experian not sure about.

Use HPI as they hold the most up to date stuff and gaurantee the most things. If you phone them to do the check make sure you say/or actually are standing by the car when you do it as its in the small print.

IMHO, HPI is the best.

However, read the terms and conditions carefully to ensure you are fully covered should anything go wrong. All these vehicle checks are no substitute for your nose. If it smells bad...walk away.
