one of the veins doesnt go directly back there thats what im trying to find out

do you mean the pulmonary veins - the pulmonary arteries go from the heart to the lungs rather than round the body - and the blood returns to the heart through the pulmonary veins without going anywhere else ?

does this help hun - The veins that directly connect with the heart are the inferior vena cava, superior vena cava and the pulmonary vein. All blood in the venous system returns to the heart and all veins in the body will drain into either the superior vena cava or the inferior vena cava before entering the heart. So, technically not all veins "connect" to the heart, but it depends on exactly what you mean by "connect."

The only real significance that has though is the oxygenated / deoxygenated roles are reversed

it could mean the coronary vein, which works slightly differently.

Why does a doctor need to know about veins? :?

weather vein

The Portal vein does not drain directly into the heart. It connects the large intestine to the liver through enterohepatic circulation.
