can you translate

Your on ADSL or ADSL2+ through BT/Openreach copper network, your your getting similar speeds to what you did from plusnet. No service provider will guarentee a speed over copper it will always be "upto" 44db is quite a long line

Confused at this one i must say..... dunno what youre asking m8 ?

OP is asking to get his virgin ADSL service.

no SENSE whatsoever

are you on Virgin, but not through cable? if so then your speed wont be any better than your previous supplier

Virgin BB is only faster through the fibre optic cable

We have similar problems with virgin broadband speeds. spoken to both virgin and BT as the owner of the telephone line and basically it's down to how far away you are from the exchange (i.e. how long the bit of wire is!!), the further away the slower the connection, we're 4 and a half miles away and just about get half to three quarters of a mg on a good day when the wind is in the right direction lol but very frustrating hope that helps

Is there no way you can get Virgin to install via cable and not over PlainOldTelephoneService ?
