I couldn't transfer mine...

I did mine the other way ie BT to Virgin so do not see why.

Yes £3.60 odds. that's a 10% increase. Going to move back to BT.

BT have a price rise too at a different time of month.

I'm out of contract with virgin so can move at any time, I think I pay about £22ish a month for 50mb broadband but they can **** off with the continuous price hikes seems at least twice a year. Many years ago Comcast then NTL then Virgin Media had the win because they were the only fibre opticprovider and it was fast £35 for 1mb back in 2002 was a bargain lol.

Owned by yanks nowadays

cant understand their logic in suck a huge hike? as customers will leave in their droves Only prob i can see is you cannot take your number elsewhere ,if you could id be off like as shot , been with them for 7 years and in that time my package hasn't changed but my monthly payment has doubled !! Seriously thinking of getting rid even if my no has to change as service is appalling ! I have had 2 loads of downtime in a month and when i complained that the download speed was .05mb !! i was told by the indian call centre @surprised you havn't called us earlier as the service in your area isnt too great' couldn't believe he said it Kept being fobbed off by 'impending upgrade for all'
Anyone recommend a better supplier? as they are now absolute rubbish ! ,shame they used to be really good

well it looks as though were all going to get this deal ,if your'e with virgin !!!! lol unlike the £5 amazon/barclays one !!!!

Ring them they normally give you the lump sum back on your remaining contract off next month bill. Mine increased by £3pm and had 10 months remaining so got £30 back.

The problem is not so much the phone numbers as the email addresses, is there anyway you can keep them if you switch to another provider?

No way to keep email addresses. That's why I moved away from my virginmedia.com / ntlworld address and now use Gmail. One day I will want to switch and won't have the hassle of changing email addresses on all the sites I use...
