    Virgin problems would you ask for a refund?

    Been having problems with my broadband for over 6 months now,it will be fine for a few days and then will knock off and wont come back on again,had 18 visits up to now in this time,changed cable modems,changed cable,run all sorts of tests etc and the same problem keeps happening.
    Last wednesday they came out (after yet again calling their infuriating indian call centre again) and the modem was replaced again,yesterday it went off again and stayed off til they came out today and have now decided they will rerun the cables into the house from the main box,this cant be done til august 8th.

    Is it worth my while complaining that I want a refund as I pay for always on 24 hr broadband and its more like a ruddy ornament gathering dust? am I likely to get anywhere with virgin over it?

    I would keep a log of how long you are without BB, and then tell them you want a pro-rata refund. I managed to do a similar thing with Orange a few years back when I was without BB for a fortnight.

    Yep ....definately ask for a refund as you are paying for a service you are not getting ! :thumbsup:

    Wait until the repull has been done then write into customer concern setting out what has happened.
    They will call you and probably offer you at least 50% of the charges back.
    In the meantime call customer service and see what they say.
    FWIW just over a week for a repull is very fast, usually you are looking at 3-4 weeks

    I have just cancelled with Virgin as they are just cr*p in everyway. I always asked for credits when my internet was down. My internet was sooo slow i kept calling and they put me up to the next speed for free. They will also refund the cost of the technical call if the problem is theirs not yours. You have to ask at the end of the call. Good luck.

    their technical support line is now free if you have a virgin phone and call via the 150 number
    have tried to get through but the lines are busy,probably with disgruntled customers,really fed up with virgin now, a few weeks ago they said they hadnt recieved my payment when they clearly had,took lots of calls and a recorded delivery copy of my bank statement to sort that out,customer service is appauling

    I soooo misinterpreted this thread.:thinking:
