Woke up today to Mrs complaining there was no internet and she has a meeting at 9am. It so happens where the cable connects to the VM wall socket, the cable had pulled out of the plug whilst its still attached to the inlet. I've temporarily fixed it as internet is now working
The cable was supplied by Virginmedia and comes with a box on it which according to a quick google its an isolator box as the image below:

I can source a replacement cable from the usual places but cannot find any with an isolator box therefore am unsure what it's purpose is.
I have the hub4 and phone connects into it.
If i get an alternative cable without it, would i begin to see issues with phone or internet speed?
TIA
