Virtual assessment for injury’s in Personal Injury claim

Hi guys looking for some advice, I was in a car accident a few years ago and things are starting to wrap up, so I’m seeing different specialist for the different injuries obtained,
Saw one for liver spleen and kidneys virtually last week as haven’t had any problems and they healed reasonably well,
I was given appointment last week to see a orthopaedic surgeon face to face this week which I was fine with, but today have been informed that if it’s okay with me it’s going to to be done virtually. I’ve got a few concerns as most of my orthopaedic injuries, I broke my neck, back in 3 places, jaw, multiple ribs, finger, collar bone and scapular I’m not confident that he’s going to be able to assess these very well virtually? These have been life changing injuries and the appointment need to reflect this.Am I being pedantic , or should I wait a little longer and have face to face appointment? I’m also concerned as I’m currently non verbal so Some one will be interpreting what I’m saying and it’s so easy for things to be lost in translation! What would you great people advise ?

From the way you’ve worded this, you’ve been “informed that if it’s okay with you” it’ll be done virtually...it doesn’t sound like it’s okay with you to me, so if I were you I’d get in touch with them and request a face to face appointment.
Yes, I agree. It's totally unsuitable for visual/audio assessment.

Insist you attend in person.

Maybe its just an initial assessment for the consultant to decide what tests and further assessments are necessary.....

They are doing as much as possible virtually - if you go as an outpatient appointment you will probably have to have a covid test a day or so before the appointment and then self isolate until your appointment.......

Sorry I forgot to respond, even though I was offered a choice I didn’t really have one the telephone report is still going to go ahead and once they have made the report if I’m not happy or don’t think it is a fair representation of things a face 2 face can be arranged
