Parking is free so far in central Dover! St James retail park is stil not fully open, but few new shops are already there also it is close to sea front, Dovercastle and high street.

If you think, that it will serve more exposure for people who might benefit saving few £ and getting ice cream instead, more then if it was under freebies - then so be it. But let me disagree - to me it is a freebie. It is Free in a town where parking has to be paid for just 50 yards away.
Yeah, but it’s Dover.

Yeah, but it’s Dover.

My thoughts exactly, is it still a run down dump that it always used to be?

It's my closest town, I don't live right in Dover but it's just about the worst of a few iffy areas shall we say. Fine for the cliffs, if you want sea go to Deal, just shopping then Folkestone edges it imho.

It must have something going for it as a bunch of travellers moved into one of the car parks on the outskirts of town, about half a dozen large caravans appeared overnight a week or so ago, the car park is Council run so I imagine they'd have moved them on by now, don't know how long it takes tbh.
