    weird one here
    if i buy a new pc with vista installed but remove it before registering ever using it
    to install linux instead

    will the coa be valid on another pc as i didnt register it??

    Most manufacturers install the software and dont activate it as each license should be registered by the end buyer......effectively me and you since the ownership of the license registration passes to us when we make the purchase.

    You can have a problem because some OEM licences are specific to the manufacturer

    You should have no problem activating the Windows key on another computer, regardless of it's make. But it is illegal/against the OEM license agreement none the less.

    you should be fine, according to logic,
    the agreement doesn't enter into contract law until you tick the box agreeing to it, that doesn't happen if you only do this on the second machine.
