    mmm so its trueee
do they give u confirmation etc? like when it will end
she said 30 days notice hehe

Verbal agreements aren't worth the paper they are written on! Always confirm any agreement in writing.

Yes, you usually get someone from retentions calling you a few days later to offer you a last-chance deal. They did it with me and they weren't that pushy tbh. Just say no and they'll tell you your cut-off date (should be 30 days from sending the email).

They also text you your cut-off date too :thumbusp:

great sounds good thanks everyone rep left

read your contract, cancellation terms will be on that.
Usually it's in writing but depends what your contract says

I had this problem with them when I wanted to cancel (they really do try and make it the hardest thing they can) first of all they gave me an incorrect email address to send the cancellation through to (i bet it was delibrate) then i ended up having a lenghty conversation with a team leader there to get them to accept it was their mistake and I shouldn't be charged for it. In my opinion a contract should be able to be cancelled by the same method the contract was taken out. I took mine out over the phone with them direct, therefore should naturally be able to cancel it in the same method, as I said to one of the team leaders, what would happen if i was illiterate, and couldn't write them a letter? I would still be able to take the contract out over the phone, as I have nothing to sign, or read. The same goes for if you are blind.

I would cancel by email (that way you can prove it was sent) and also follow this up with a phonecall if you do not get a quick enough reply (their website guys say leave a few working days for a reply, and they will not action your request to cancel until they get around to reading it!)

In the end for me, I was actually abe to cancel over the phone, so they can do it but just choose not to. But this was only after speaking to a team leader who backed down when I said about what if i couldn't write a letter?
