    Vodafone Quidco Question

I'm currently nearing the end of my 12 month sim only contract with VF. If they don't offer me a good deal can I just cancel and then sign right back up through Quidco for the cashback (and port my number back in). Has any one done this? Is there a period that you have to be away from them to qualify again for the cashback (like SKY)?

Most places require a 6 month break to qualify as a new customer.

And you wouldnt be able to port your number directly back in (they would class it as an upgrade).

There is a way of doing it, but its quite time consuming and would involve a pay as you go simcard.

What's the best way to extract the best deal - ask for the PAC code then wait for a call from the retentions team - quote a few competitors deals?

Yh tbh voda arent offering me anything that great either, managed to get a bb 9700 last year with 600 mins unlimited texts unlimited net for £20 a month 12 month contract.

Someone over on MSE said he got the following:

"Did a deal with Vodafone today after requesting my PAC. Managed to get:

    - HTC Desire HD (Free with free delivery)
    - 600 Minutes
    - Unlimited Texts
    - 500MB Data

Was offered it for £20 per month for 24 months or £25 per month for 18 months. Went for the 24 months given the additional outlay during the 18 months would pay for four and a half months at the 24 month rate.

I also have Vodafone family at £5.00 per month which I am keeping, so I don't know if that makes any difference or not. I can remove that at any time, though it suits me to have it to be honest.

Would have preferred a shorter term and am aware it's not as good as some of the Orange retention deals (someone is getting the same deal for £15.31 on Orange IIRC), but I'm relatively happy and I always have my 7 days cooling off period if I change my mind over the weekend.

Handset was due to be delivered on Monday, but received a text tonight saying the order had been delayed, so we'll see what happens; if it's going to turn ot into a drawn out affair I'll probably go back to looking elsewhere as planned.

Thanks to the Web Relations Team too; all of the help was much appreciated even though you don't have the same room for negotiation as retentions. "

I can only use T-Mobile & Orange + Voda at work - O2/Three no good

BUT bear in mind any retention deal is based not only on how long you've been a customer but also how much you've spent over the last 6 months
If you've only used your plan mins/text and not gone over (ie they've made no money from you) then you won't get as good an offer as if they's made some ££ from you.
Posting retention deals can be pointless as everyone's spend is different, just because one person got it doesn't mean anyone else will...

I wouldn't say the £300-£350 a year they made from me nothing, how much does it actually cost them to run their network per customer probably under £50 a year. Anyway I'm tempted by Orange - they've got some decent deals at the moment.

That's the way the systems programmed. The more over your plan price you go each month the better your retention offer will be.

The guys you speak to can't over ride what the system gives out, they can play around with a few options but even then they have strict limits imposed on them which they can't get round.
