Hello All, For those who have knowledge regarding VPN’s could you explain to me what they are and if it’s possible to get it on the Xbox One (Or something similar) I’ve been trying to watch One piece on Crunchyroll and the only way it’s possible is via VPN I’ve heard by changing to U.S. I’m looking to watch on the TV through the Xbox as I’m not a fan of watching Anime on a tablet or phone. If you do know of a method could you state wether it costs and how to do it. Thank you for your response.

Vpn basically hide your ip address. Many sites will be blocked by UK internet providers. With vpn you access a server from abroad which allows you to access a lot more content.
Main way to watch content is via installing Kodi . I believe you can install Kodi on Xbox as Kodi is an offshoot of xbmc.
Vpn come in free or paid version. Paid ones are much better.
A great way to watch content is to buy Amazon fire stick and install Kodi on that.

I think he meant how are you meant to get a vpn going on an xbox
Simplistically: a VPN tells the outside world that the device that you are using to connect to the internet is in a different location to its real location. It also prevents your ISP from knowing what you are doing on the internet. A VPN can generally be configured on a device itself or via the local device that provides the internet connection - typically a router, although it is possible to configure a local PC to perform similar function. VPN for XB1 will require the router or PC option, where the VPN service will be configured on the router / PC. There are many different VPN services to choose from, some free, some subscription, some may achieve the function you require, some may not. Random example of subscription-based VPN provider "VPN Unlimited" claims that it has dedicated equipment to provide successful US Netflix streaming from any location in the world. Same company has generic guides on how to configure a VPN at router level. There are occasional deals to be had for its service, same as other VPN providers.

Before spending any money, it may be worth investigating if there are other methods to achieve the same goal.
Hmmm, so I get what they do but how does the set up work? I find these things fairly complicated so I apologise if it’s taking me a while to understand. So I’ve checked the links and I understand your meant to do something with the router? My internet provider is Virgin and the box they provide you to connect to the internet is it a router or a modem . Do I need both if so what am I missing? The guides seem complicated so if someone can give me a step by step process that would be much appreciated and could you please explain it as simple as possible. Thanks 🙏
