Taking a girl cinema tomorrow, watchin saw 6... shes only 17 but if i buy the tickets think it will be okay to get in for the film seeing as its an 18?

The ticket booth is downstairs an the actual cinema entrance is upstairs so i dont think it would be a problem?

No - so you are saying you could take a 5 year old to see SAW V - no chance - if the kids 17 they should be seeing the film -

Hahahaha, does seem a bit weird when you put it like that :?

If you buy in advance I'm sure you'll be fine. They never even look at them in my local cinema.

If it was your daughter, you wouldn't be saying that

You go buy the tickets (like you should be) and leave her somewhere else, then go back with the tickets and go see the film.

Tbh ive never seen anyone getting ID'd at the cinema, but if your worried do that, as long as its just you buying the tickets they can onyl id you and you'r overage i'm guessing.

    When I was
In my experience, we were never IDed. They did want to see our NUS cards though cos we bought the student rate tickets. Got rumbled with that one a few times hehe..:-D

If she looks like a 5 year old then you probably won't get in but if shes 17 and you're buying the tickets then no one is going to argue with you about what her age is.

In America the rating system works that if a movie gets an 'R' rating (which is equivalent to a 15 or 18 here) then any child under 17 can go see it with an accompanying adult.

The rating system is tosh anyway, ive always found it funny that at 17 you can legally drive a car with the potential of causing serious damage to others... but you're not allowed to see a movie with some naughty words and boobies.

if she looks near age and you got your id say she got her purse nicked last week and is waiting for dvla to send her a replacement driving licence and write down on a piece of paper a crime number usually 3-4 digits followed by the date ie crime number 136-041109 which you would need for your banks etc for free replacement

Dude you buy the tickets and everything will be kool.

Make sure she pushes everything she needs to in the right direction. Then you'll be fine.

Saw 6 , you going to take a 17 to see a film which is pretty beyond the knuckle. Are you nuts. Really go see UP, thats value for money. There is a massive jump in viewing pleasure with Certifcates. 12A will have adult content e.g Dark Knight (what a film), 15 is goner have mild sex and a swearing...18 no holds barred....

PS its very rare that Cinema checks ages...there to lazy and they want your money

are you Jonathon Ross in disguise?

I've never been ID'd at Vue despite going there for years, I still get regularly ID'd at Tescos and pubs though despite being 29

    John

I have never been ID'ed, i dont know any else that has and i have never seen anyone getting ID'ed in our VUE cinema either.

I have known them ask for evidence of student discount before.

I guess if the 17 year old in question is 4ft tall and looks about 10 then they 'might' ask the question but otherwise im sure it'll be absolutely fine.

what I was thinking, unless she's into that stuff unlikely at that age but still she 'might' be

I went to see Lock, Stock and Two Smoking barrels at the cinema and i was about 14, it was an 18, they let me in. Wouldn't worry tbh, i'd be more worried about her realising how bad taste you have, Saw VI, really?
