We were there last week and stayed at ]http//ww…spx. Hotel was really nice and cheapest we could find for the city centre. As for what to do we did the open top bus tour which takes you all around the sites to see. You can just pick which ones suit you.

thanks i have been on the site and it is going to cost £80 a night. I will definately keep this one in mind
    many thanks

That's is quite expensive. We must have got a good deal when we were there as we were only £50 ish a night. We were staying during the week plus it wasn't a school holiday. Maybe October is more expensive because of school holidays. I actually found the hotel through the Ryanair website so it might be worth looking there as they give you a list of a few hotels and prices.

Only problem with the Dublin Travelodge is that is is a bit out of the city centre. I think it is about 5 miles, which is fine if you will be driving while there.

There is a bus stop outside the hotel to get into Dublin and the fare is 1.50euros to the city centre (if not using the bus pass) and is a 10 min journey time. Buses 14, 14A, 15, 15A stop there every few minutes. It is a 25 min walk to the city centre.
