Found 12th Feb 2010
Hi i recently purchased a digital radio for my bathroom and is great for listening too, only problem is it is eating batteries like they are going out of fashion so thought it best to buy some rechargable ones with a charger to save in the long run, I,m after 8 AA as radio uses 4 at a time and a charger, i remeber reading on here that is is different types around now, dont mind paying for decent ones,
Many Thanks in advance

they last longer under the conditions you dont use it much, so the batteries dont go flat all by themselves, if you are running this in such a way you can run the batteries flat in a few days or so, then you want high capacity over low self discharge

I find regular nimh cells lost most of their oomph in a week, meaning you must charge them right before using them, no keeping to go

the new type specify they are at 85 percent at 1 year, so you charge them, and keep them ready. and so far, that is my experience of them

i personally am happy to forgo a little capacity for the fact that they are always ready

Home Bargains are doing one for £6 I think right now with 4 batteries but not sure if AA or AAA.

pretty sure you can get rechargable batteries from £1 shop & 99p shop?
