You'll struggle for £50 for anything decent.

I'd recommend going for a 9600GT - which will set you back about £65 if you look around.

PC Pro magazine had a special insert of their "A list" products this month.

For value graphics card their first choice was Nvidia GeForce 9600GT that they said was £85

The second choice was ATI Radeon HD 3850 which they said was £57.

Their summing up of the 3850 was

"At this price the HD 3850 can be considered a budget card, but its performance belongs in a higher category".

Yeah, at £50 the 3850 is the best availible at the moment.

steer clear of ebay, you'll get them cheaper from decent online stores

8800GT beats everything posted on here by far!

If you're willing to fork out the extra few pennies, it'll most definitely be worth it! I have one of these cards and the performance is almost comparible to an 8800GTX.

Have a look at benchmarks:

Where to buy:

Hope this helps!

The one you linked is a 256mb version which means that if you're running at 1680x1050 or 1920x1200 your framerate will be lower than a 3850.

Ah, sorry, did not realise.

This is where I found it:
