Warning: La Redoute.......

Just been on the phone to la redoute and have been told that the £10 that was supposed to be refunded to my CC will not be because the code I used was not sent to me directly, and that they are currently investigating codes being put onto websites and will be investigating my account.

Dont think they should be posted anymore as they are obviously keeping check on them now....

Wonder what "They will be investigating my account" means? Dont mind them closing the account but hope that they dont ask for the £££ back......

Well mine has been dispatched today and the e-mail said it was £1 so fingers crossed it stay at £1. Will not be using them again! :x

Yes I've given up with them...the order that they said I had returned...yet it hadn't even been delivered...has now been refunded....all £3 of it so that order with a £10 code failed completely..I did have success in getting a Nike T shirt for a quid so will now put them to bed...forever.

If you read their terms and conditions it states that they can have the goods back or money if the codes are being used fraudulently. I use everyone sent to me and everyone elses too. I hope this is not the case with my account. I always pay up straight away (not order and pay but rid my balance every few days). You have worried me now. :?

La Redoute don't look to bad, Maybe their fed up of people trying to get something for nothing and wiping out their profit.

They clearly have paid more than a £1 for postage, No wonder they are "investigating", If you stick by the Terms and Conditions, It looks a good company.

so does anybody know legally what could happen.
i think that this is something that is going to happen to all that have used these codes.:x

and also dont you think that they shouldnt honour the codes in the first place if this is what is going to happen:whistling:

Would be impossible for me to check back on all the codes they have sent me over the years, so they'll have a fight on their hands if they try adjusting my account!

Yes, I would imagine this is the case, they should honour past orders, but looks as if its the end of the road for using codes from now on.

Same here, I had been told that the £10 was to be refunded and then spoke to them this morning and this happened....

ive only had one order off them, the second time I tried using codes they said there had been a problem with my bank details! I avoid them now.

oh dont worry K_o_f i think the worst is that they will close yur account i dont think that they will ask for the goods back as they honoured the codes they shouldnt have. after all they are the ones who process all the orders so they should pick up on this. They do on some and they ask for the full amount and if you dont pay they dont honour.

I didn't open an account I just paid with my card so don't know what's going to happen :giggle:

could this be the reason my account number isnt working?? i want to track my order by registering for 'my account' on their site with the customer number i got emailed by them but nothing happens, it keeps going to the same page when i try it. In the email said it was 75*-*-80* WITH the dashes and ive tried it with and without them to register and i wont work (obviously they are numbers not stars lol)

EDIT: Dont worry, my bad, because i copied it with the dashes it only pasted 9 characters (leaving the last 2 off the end because they were used up by the dashes that were not meant to be there) then when i removed the dashes the last two digits were still missing lol. Sorry, sorted now

I'm not too fussed, as long as additions, empire, tesco and everyone else honour theirs:giggle:

i have (or more specifically, my mum has) been using la redoute for about ten years and not once had a problem with them, and hopefully i won't experience any problems with them in the future either. i've even returned stuff well after fourteen day returns period and they've happily accepted it, and as for order codes, i've used some which i've found on this website (whether they've been sent to me too i don't know, i haven't always checked) and never been refused discount.

abusing the system so blatantly though (by putting in multiple codes so items are knocked down to silly prices etc etc) then complaining when they catch you out... does that really make them the bad guys? they're running a business, and they're perfectly entitled to "investigate" customers who don't play by the rules.

K_O_F has anything else happened have they contacted you in anyway?

Nope, still getting junk from them (codes and stuff!) but that is all

i got something from them this morning-now lets see if they charge me or not...

The delivery slip says the amount it is suposed to minus the discount, but can they still charge me?

Then again they may have sent me the discount code but my old email isnt working so I cant check, plus they send out so much junk mail I never open most of it.

Did you use a different name? If not (Even if you used a different email address) they will all be grouped together and the 10 will be taken off the end price, or you will receive the first one you ordered and no more.

You have to order using different names and D.O.B for them to honour the voucher, they won't do it if you order with same name and D.O.B as it is strictly one voucher per customer.

My, eherm, friend did it a long time ago, doing like 5 to her mums, 5 to her address, and 5 to her mum in law's. The ones to her house never arrived so I assume that the driver cottoned on what she was doing as she received the dispatch emails but no parcels.

She would be put off using their codes again though - the sheer amount of junk mail she get from them is UNBELIEVEABLE, sometimes she gets 5 things all the same 3 times in a week LOL!!!
This was last year she ordered from them and the junk mail has showed no signs o slowing down, along with Vertbaudet and Empire Stores.

Before also she has used codes for £10 off and free delivery but then they charged her for the delivery, though she did get loads of things either nearly or completely free!

They do not have to honour the codes as they are intended for use by the recipient only. If they decide not to honour the code, they may just go ahead and charge you full price, so even i you return them you will still be out of pocket by £3.45 each delivery.

i have ordered 2x with them. Once with a £10 off voucher and other time, £5 off voucher, both with free delivery.
I received all my goods the other day...

a 6 pack of Nike socks and a two pack of vests... all for a grand total of £1.

Well impressed the stuff arrived. back of the net!

hmmmm there seem to be a mixed review here lol! i just called them and got a account number, they said no orders are showing yet so to try again tomorrow, so i reckon i may just get the first few things i ordered, as they werent majorly discounted! think its just a case of hit and miss, but ill let you guys know what do and dont get if anything!!
