hi all
i am looking to buy a new washing machine, has anyone bought a new one lately, what is a good make? have had mine for about 10 years !! so really dont know where to start, its be used for 3 people so its not on all day everyday
thank you

Go to your local library and ask to see the Which magazine that last reviewed washing machines and see what they say.

All libraries will keep old copies of Which.

They are all Cold Fill now so only need one pipe into the back. Spin speed the faster the better, Silent motor is good doesn't make so much noise, Eco Cycle runs at lower temperature, Drum size bigger the less loads...My machine is a Hotpoint 1600 Ultima....Steam is the new news and that available in the Aqualtis 9kg washine Machine...Ultima will be doing Steam in their new range in a couple of months. Hope this helps and good luck

miele, really good but really expensive use mine 3 times a day sometimes, never falters!

thank you all

Miele, or at least get it from john lewis, its all about the long guarantees

should be able to find several then with a 5 year guarantee

I got an LG machine last year and it's superb for the price with 2 year warranty and 10 years on the motor.

We got a Daewoo in December.
Excellent machine. Quiet and efficient. Time will tell whether it lasts, but I do not expect modern white goods to last a long time without any maintenance whether they be Miele, Bosch, Hotpoint or Daewoo.…ews

Simply, you'll get a machine for however much you want to spend.

I would recommend a Bosch, or Zanussi if on a budget. Bosch are very well built machines and can usually be fixed quite easily because most of the time it's just the brushes on the motor.
