    Washing machine

    Hi all,

Unfortunately, me washing machine broke down today... So I have planned to get a new
one. Unfortunately, there are no deals posted on HUKD. Argos has a Bush machine for 200 instead of 250, is this any good? Else any recommondations about a washing machine deal?

    many thanks

PS.: Should be standard size or small and does not need any special features, just a very basic one

I think that this is a blinding deal ]here.
I was going to post myself after buying one for my parents today but saw it already posted.
The next best price for this is over £257 (delivered) and some places are still charging £309-£349 :w00t:

+1 was just looking for the best price on this machine for you as this was posted and was finding £210 for a graded one, so £210 for brand new is a stonking deal

No brand snobbery intended but Beko over Indesit - might as well recommend a rubbing board and t'local river
Pixmania haven't got the best reputation and Beko make good products but for a few quid (less if you go for the Indesit via Quidco) I know that my money has been spent wisely.

I'm not recommending Beko but personaly I would never buy another Indesit, I was just giving the op a few options, other people may say no machine in the lower price range are any good but that would be just their opinion!

Don't get me wrong, I too was just meaning to voice my opinion, and I completely respect the efforts that you made to find a good deal for the poster... I'd rep you if I'd made the OP :friends:

I spent a silly ammount on my washing machine - so that it had LCD read out and other useless guff... surprisingly the LCD got what looks like a dry connection as soon as the warranty ran out so my washing machine now doubles as a strobe light.

Forget the is Indesit better then Beko debate - all washing machines are cheap junk which will break unless you spend a fortune. In which case it still might break anyway and you can't afford to fic it if it does.

So get an extended warranty (off the web NOT from the retailer). Rather than looking at the cost to buy look at the total cost of machine + warranty and calculate a cost per year. Buy the cheapest on that basis.

I bought a £600 Siemens with 10 year warranty as it worked out cheaper than a cheap machine - haven't regretted it, it's much better (quiet and reliable so far, don't actually care if it does break) than all the tat machines I've had before.

I'd guess that he paid for additional warranty reading the post... but could easily be wrong.

It was a deal they were doing at the time, I've seen it a few times since. 5 year warranty on cheaper ranges, 10 year on more expensive ranges. So I found the cheapest model with a 10 year warranty (most were £700+). After previously owning Hotpoint, Hoover and Candy machines which were all much noisier and died after the warranty expired I don't regret paying the extra.
