Washing machine or washer drier? 7/8kg load, any recommendations?

Currently have a Hotpoint 7kg washer drier, but only use it to wash. Get washing hung outside most times. It is showing warning/error codes. It was in the house when we bought it and is probably about 10 yrs old. Going to get a new one. Any recommendations thanks!

Anything by miele is a great buy if u can push to it.

Beko are excellent value for money.

years ago when I worked at "one of the biggest electrical retailers".. we were always taught that a washer dryer will never do either function as well as separate appliances will do. If you have space for both....

Always been happy with Samsung myself large wash loads available (it plays a tune when its finished too). I would say no to a washer/dryer combo after working for a large electrical retailer.

Just going to order this for £239 including free delivery and removal of old one tesco.com/dir…263

hi ellie have you gt the link to the one you purchased. it's not opening for me an I'm on the hunt for a new one as mine us on its last legs

Just get a washer, Very rare the dryer side lasts, they're inefficient and best avoided regardless of brand. You're lucky that your Hotpoint has lasted that long, especially if the dryer cycle still works.

Anyway, imo Bosch, Miele, Samsung and LG make the best washing machines.

Beko offer the best value imo.

Avoid, Hotpoint, Indesit, Ariston, Hoover, Candy and Whirlpool.

Thanks will check it out. Hoping mine can get repaired as the old ones are the best but if not this one is a good price. thank you

I'd get a washer drier. Definitely worth it especially during the colder/wetter months.

hi ellie which washing machine did you go for?
