As part of the Black Lives Matter solidarity, Cineplex Canada are offering free access to 'understanding black stories' which is a collection of 45 movies. You would need a VPN to enjoy this ofcourse.

To access the “Understanding Black Stories” films, viewers must create an account on Cineplex’s website and rent their film of choice for $0. Once the film is rented by the viewer it will be available to view in their library for two days.

  • Use a VPN which offers Canada as a choice - I used windscribe
  • Click on any movie you like, which should prompt you to make an account
  • Make an account, no need to enter address or payment details
  • Rent the movie you like for free (see below)

Some very good films amongst that selection Not sure if I the the patience to try the vpn though!
The Joker would be a more accurate film depicting the situation these “protesters” are currently trying to re-enact at the moment.
